"These photographs, made through out the Trump and Biden presidencies gives us a glimpse into how immigration is enforced but also the moments of humanity in between that we don’t always get to see.
Christopher Lee is a Korean-American photographer based in San Antonio, Texas. His workfocuses on issues of identity, subcultures, immigration, and the United States military. He is a frequent contributor to the New York Times, TIME Magazine, Texas Monthly, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker and others.I photograph based on gut and feeling. I go out walking with an empty mind, open to whatever or whomever I come across. The photographs I make are based on my own subjective response to lived experience in the real world. The resulting images are in conversation with bodies of work by past photographers engaged in the longstanding tradition of depicting the American experience. "
